I have a feeling privacy oriented currencies are going to begin getting a lot more popular now that people are kicking off to realize just how bad the privacy in Bitcoin is.

Re: Monero Price Speculation Thread

I’m a bit disappointed tho’. At the recommendation of Bruce Fenton I had dinner in Tokyo with Fluffy Pony about Two years ago when the price was well under a dollar. Ricardo didn’t make any attempt to tell me anything about Monero at all, and I left the dinner still not knowing anything about it.

If he had told me a bit more about it at dinner, I would have bought a bunch of them that very nite.

I too believe these privacy coins have a bright future! XMR is still the most private coin with no trusted set up. with that said I am also interested in the coming Zk-Starks crypt0. albeit I know its far out. This is such an amazing time in crypt0! – I just dreamed to pop back in here quickly to commend you on your speech at Nexus regarding FreeSociety.com. Indeed interesting things you are doing here. Please let me know how I can support this project!! I would love to utilize some SP to support this project through STEEM as well brother. you have my total support here @RogerKver not that you need any! Im also nosey if Bitcoin.com and yourself have taken a look at the SMT token whitepaper from Steemit inc. Very interesting tech that maybe this site could implement/ benefit from some how.

Take care brother,

The scaling debate has taken up so much of everyone’s time and attention that the importance of fungibility has been disregarded.

I’m looking forward to all the coins gaining more privacy but Monero is already the leader in that area. Bitcoin’s puny block high fee policy has undermined it’s fungibility too by making mixers too expensive to use, and limiting the amount of data that analytics companies need to sort through.

For those who missed it, here was the FreeSociety.com talk:

Re: Monero Price Speculation Thread

This will be interesting to witness unfold, looks like its being doing in the right way from the embark.

Re: Monero Price Speculation Thread

My impression is that ",Anything That’s Peaceful", is a relatively obscure book, and I don’t think I’ve come across many other people who have ever read it. It has been more than 20 years since I read it, so maybe it’s about time I read it again.

about bitcoin.com

Bitcoin.com is just one domain name used to promote Bitcoin. Bitcoin.com is not an official website. Just like nobody wields the email technology, nobody wields the Bitcoin network.

As such, nobody can speak with authority in the name of Bitcoin.
